How To Start a Meditation Practice

Peace of mind is something we all try to look for.

Everything we do is an attempt to experience happiness and avoid pain.

And so we search for happiness in the only places we know where to find it, the material world.

Money, a partner, a family, a good body, a big house, a nice car or a good job.

But when we get these things, quite often they give us as much pain as they do pleasure.

Relationships are not easy and often lead to anger and jealousy. Having a family and bringing up children is hard work. Our body eventually becomes old and our looks deteriorate. Expensive houses and cars often result in debt, worry about our finances and being trapped in a job we don’t like.

Everything comes at a price.

So why do we look for peace of mind in these things?

Quite simply, because we don’t know where else to find it.

But peace of mind can only come from one place. THE MIND.

Meditation is a way in which you can learn how to cultivate peace of mind from within.

So no matter where you are or what you are doing, you can find pleasure and joy in everything you do.

It helps us to focus and gain clarity about what is important in life, so we make better decisions and choices about our future.

And it helps us to become kinder, more caring human beings which improves our relationships at work, in our personal life and also with the environment.

Meditation has gained a lot of popularity in the west over the last 20 years and as a result, there are now thousands of resources to be found online.

But sometimes too much information can lead to confusion as to what meditation is and how we can really use it to benefit our lives.

And this is why I offer free weekly classes and one to one meditation programmes; to help people fully understand what meditation is, how it works and provide them with the best meditation practices that I come across over the last 30 years.
